Lads wake up new aperiodic monotile dropped

   

The shapes tile a 2d infinite surface with no gaps with a never-repeating pattern when flips aren't permitted, with the two shapes on the right having a never-repeating pattern regardless of if flips are allowed or not

They were looking for a shape like this for 60 years after Penrose Tiling, they had found one a few months ago but this one required flips to tile with a never-repeating pattern, this one does it without flips

I was thinking of JV and PR2 this morning and that resulted in me finding my way to here. I had remembered that some folks had started up a replacement after the original went down, but I had never taken the time to come over and say hello. Its been many many years since I've talked to most folks from JV that I used to hang out with - though there are a couple I'm still in touch with from time to time (shout out FFC and Slidin). I've lost touch with most folks.

I just wanted to say in the off chance any of my old friends happen to see this, thank you to everyone who allowed younger me to feel welcomed and accepted. That was something I didnt find often IRL, and I'm not sure I would've ever found without the folks I met here. So thank you.  

If you want to chat at all, feel free to reach out! Not sure I'll really ever be active here, but I'll check back time-to-time and I'd be happy to exchange contact info with some folks.

Wanted to share some draws with you all! 

I have been trying to get into my original passion again which is art. But over the years... it started to dwindle more and more to the point that now... i'm back to basics once again :c 

Can't seem to draw anything at least decent like these draws (which are now 3 to 4 years old now) I used to draw pretty consistently before but now since it's been so long... i don't know how to get into it again. I am trying though! i want to reclaim my original passion once more.

All of these draws look okay... i can definitely see where i can improve now, and start from there.

This happens both in the main forum area with new posts and in threads themselves, as either titles or in the body of the text such as with F@H here.
When refreshing/loading the page it will say [email protected] instead of F@H for one frame, it seems that this is a link due to it being a slightly different colour to the text but as it only shows up for 1 frame I cannot verify this any further.
I assume the reason it displays as this is as it sees [Text] [At Symbol] [Text], it fixes after this though and if this were to be fixed it would be important to not break the main use of this [email protected] text outside of this niche case.

I swear I posted this before either here or on Discord but I can't find it so I'll just make this thread.

Though i share this because i found it funny.

So a couple of days ago, my original Xbox died out of nowhere (i will miss her so much... yes, it was a ''she''... i double checked)

I had it since 2005! and it's honestly a miracle it lasted as long as it did.

So i decided to open it... why not? it doesn't work anymore so might as well clean it thoroughly on the inside and leave it as is. It's been a LOOOONG time since it's been opened (the last time it was opened was when it was modified)

So i take a look at the hard drive that was installed and it said this xD
