Caching unsaved levels will hopefully prevent any future loss of work. It's super frustrating when someone puts all their time and effort onto a level, just for it to get lost by a crash or another unexpected event. Speaking of which, PR3 already does that and I'm looking forward to seeing this on PR2 as well. c:

Speedrunner of the Week
Welcome to Speedrunner of the Week! What is Speedrunner of the Week? It is a contest for skilled players, there are racers, fast racers, and on another level, speed runners. Do you have what it takes to be a speed runner?
How does it work? Every week a new Level is picked for players to speed run, a time is selected for you to beat, you must beat that time and all other contestants' times, the fastest time sent in by the end of the week will be the winner.
The winner each week will earn the Crocodile Set + Epic.
The contest rules are listed below:
Failure to follow these guide lines will void your run for the week.
No corner glitches are allowed.
You are only allowed to use 180 Stat Points(Rank 30)
You are not allowed to use any hats other than the Exp Hat, Kong Hat, and Party Hat.
You are not allowed to win two weeks in a row.
Stat blocks and Items are allowed.
Only Video Submissions are allowed.
Important! You can only win the prize on the account used during the video of your run.
You must submit your run by 0:00 Sunday CST.

The database connection times out if it's kept open for too long with no activity (I believe), which causes the server to crash. An example of this is PR2 Staff crashing as soon as I log out after no one has logged in for a while.
The connection is set to renew daily, but I'm wondering if it should be done more often? Maybe hourly? That would be a nice start to debugging this really obscure anomaly. The other option is to create a function to perform DB calls, and if a call fails then attempt to reconnect before crashing the entire server. That's probably the better option.

Had this idea while derping around the LE. It's something that has been done before, but rarely in recent years AFAIK, and never with an open contribution concept like Kwing's race collabs.
So, do you want to participate in this Don't Move Collab ? If so, all you need to do is come up with a cool don't move section of your own that meets the following guidelines. Feel free to be creative, as long as it fits !
1. Maximum area allowed is an empty 20x20 area, delimited by a basic block square (which is 22x22, as you can guess). You can use the border if you wish, as long as it's made of basic blocks only. Don't go out of it !
2. You must be able to enter and exit the area without breaking the don't move. Basically, this means that I can reach your P1 spawn block without moving from somewhere, and the player needs to exit in a similar manner, so I can chain the different sections via arrow blocks outside.
3. Avoid finish blocks, item blocks, move blocks and alien eggs.
4. Do not use major glitches that involve LE boundaries.
5. Only ONE (1) section per JV account ---> submit with a picture and/or level ID in this thread
6. Test your section !
Here's an example of a simple don't move that fits the template, with enter and exit areas marked by waffle blocks; as you can see, the spawn block would normally be on the first arrow, but this is to demonstrate #2.

Like I said, by the end of the deadline, I will put all the different sections together with your name, and we'll have our first open source Don't Move Collab. There might be more in the future if the interest is present !
