PR2 v162: Gone Shopping

This update contains an overhaul of the Vault of Magics, as well as some various changes and bug fixes.

Changes/Additions
- The instructions link has changed. This is a huge change deserving of all the media attention in the world. It's now at instructions.php instead of pr2_instructions.php.
- Trial mods can no longer view IP addresses. We probably should've changed this a while ago. Oh well, better late than never!
- Guild transferring is now done solely from the game. No more clicking a clunky link that opens a clunky form on PR2 Hub -- you'll get a nice little popup in the game that allows you to put a guild transfer request through.
- You can now use this page to log into PR2 Hub. This will let you use some of the resources available on PR2 Hub only (e.g., viewing your priors).
- There's now a new command to see the current level's information. Type /level in any game chat to see the current level's information. Thanks for the suggestion, @Overbeing!
- You can now earn the Epic Bee Body in-game! It's won on Zerostar (SuperJump) by Overbeing.
- There's a new method of obtaining the Kong Hat and the Ant Set. Buuuuuuut... it's a secret! See if you can figure out how... (thanks to everyone who shared their suggestions!)
- The Vault of Magics is a whole lot easier to use now! More on that below.

Vault of Magics Changes
- You can now use the vault anywhere. A nice change from needing to be on Kong all the time. The only requirement is that you're at least a member.
- Kreds have been replaced by a PR2-specific currency. The currency is simply called "Coins" at this moment, but that may change in the future. Coins are purchased by clicking a new link at the bottom of the vault popup in PR2. Ordering is powered by PayPal. PR2 never collects your personal information, including payment information.
- Items may now be purchased in quantities. @Colind will love this one.
- A new chat command allows you to see the time remaining in your vault rentals. You can type /rentals to see your active rentals. It will also tell you when they expire.

Fixes
- Leaving guilds now works again. Thanks to everyone who reported this!
- Registering an account makes that one the only option the player has to log in. This was a weird, simple, yet complex bug that has now been fixed.
- The PM notification works as intended again. This fixes a bug that cleared the PM notification when the player entered a race.

Hi, I was DD667/DarkDiscipline667 from PR2/PR3, and Defiant on PR3R. I don't know how to change my name.

I recognise some of the names and people from the games and Jiggmin's Village. I suppose the biggest mark I left on the franchise is having the most Level of the Days in the original PR3 - but other than that, was really just any active member whilst JV was booming.

Welcome to Speedrunner of the Week, a contest tailored for the fastest players in Platform Racing 2! We have the racers, the fast racers, and those who are above them all: Speedrunners. Do you have what it takes to become a Speedrunner?

• Each week a new level is given a target time and expert time for contestants to beat. If you complete the target time you get 1 point added onto your total score. If you are super speedy and also manage to complete the expert time you will gain 1 extra point, bringing your total to 2 just from beating the set times.
  
  
• You can also gain points if you place in a podium spot against your competitors: if you set the fastest time that week you will gain 3 points, if you come in with the second fastest time you will get 2 points, and if you set the third fastest time you will get 1 extra point. Make note however, you will only be granted these podium points if you have beaten the target time.
  
  
• Submissions will close on Sunday 12:00AM EDT. Be sure to convert this time into your own timezone if necessary to avoid any late submissions!
  

• Any runs that have been posted after the submission date will not be counted for that week. Please note that Sunday 12:00AM EDT is your deadline and not when I post the "submission's closed" comment on the thread.
  
  
• You are allowed to submit as many runs as necessary; you are not just limited to one.
  
  
• You are not allowed to use any form of hacks or TAS in your submitted run, doing so will get you banned from participating in any further SOTW events.
  
  
• Any form of glitching which wasn't intended by the creator of the level will not be allowed. If you are unsure whether a glitch is allowed or not, feel free to ask me in a thread post or through Discord.
  
  
• You are not allowed to involve multiple players in your speedrun. however, you are allowed to have someone spectate you for any assistance purposes such as recording runs.
  
  
• In the event of a level with 'Super Flying Cowboy Mode' (SFCM): unless the level uses this mode as a hat remover or if the level specifically requires the use of SFCM, all runs that have this mode enabled must be reset. Any runs that have this mode enabled when it's prohibited will be voided.
  
  
• You are only allowed to use up to 195 stat points (Rank 45).
  
  
• You are not allowed to use any hats which may affect the time of the speedrun. Hats which you are allowed to use include: Exp Hat, Kong Hat, Party Hat, Jigg Hat, Thief Hat and the Jellyfish Hat.
  
  
• You are allowed to get the stat advantages from any of the stat blocks around the level.
  
  
• Regarding video submissions, only video submissions which have been posted on this thread will be allowed. I will not be accepting any downloadable files as submissions. Please make sure that in your video you are also showing your in-game stats, as well as a clear video on your ending time.

I'm just going to publicly apologize to those of you who were offended by at least 1-2 of my threads. It was out of character and out of pocket coming from me. Sometimes I can lose my temper and bash others when it's really not necessary. If I lost my temper and bashed any of you, then I'm sorry. Don't take it personally, it's just that sometimes I really can be aggressive and argumentative, no cap.

So yeah, I'll be the bigger man here and admit that I lied about the car thing, I lied about being Alpha, and pretending to be Quesin. I've been stressed out lately, IRL, so I lost my temper and had to take it out on some of you, and you know who you are.

I'm friendly and I usually like to do outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, biking, rock climbing, anything you name it! My goal is to become a moderator, then an Admin, then take over JV! ROFL I'm jk! But still, it would be nice to be a mod. I also would like to be rank 60 on Pr2.

I'm sure you've seen this plenty of times where people have these characteristics that gives you vibes that this person may be an Alpha male or Beta male. You've seen it on TV shows, movies, read books, articles, and met some of these people before in your life. Well, before I get too deep into this discussion, let me give you a brief description (in my own words), what defines an Alpha Male and a Beta Male.

Alpha Male- An Alpha male is going to be someone who is a leader, doesn't take no sh*t from anyone, gains respect from most people, defends himself and his gf/wife, learns from his failures and keeps pushing on, sets goals for himself, accepts responsibilities for his own actions and takes care of himself. Usually they're aggressive individuals. They're not going to fight you on social media, they're going to confront you in real life and duke it out! If you're an Alpha Male, this is you:
       

Beta Male- Someone who's pussy whipped, allows women and others to control him, lacks masculinity and has low testosterone, afraid to talk to women and speak up for himself, tends to be the nice guy that finishes last, and tends to be a pacifist. Usually he's the follower. Usually these guys will fight you behind the computer screen, instead of telling you to your face! If you're a Beta Male, this is you:
       

If you're an Alpha male, you're going to defend your kingdom, conquer your enemies, protect your family/loved ones, and deal with the ignorant bastard who stepped on your foot and rubbed you the wrong way! If I'm playing chess, and I happen to be facing the enemy who wants to obliterate me and take my manhood away (aka my property), I'm going to have to consider taking aggressive tactics to crush this idiot!

You've been there before where you've got that ignorant neighbor across the street from you, filled with rage, trying to sneak behind your back and take what you own! Well if you're an Alpha Male (just like playing chess), you're going to get aggressive (after making smart decisions of course) and deal with it!
   

But if you're a Beta male, then you're fragile and you're going to take abuse from the enemy and lose everything you own! While you're sitting there trying to make weak decisions on what to do, how to deal with this neighbor across the street from you (aka the chess enemy), you're getting your property taken because you're weak!


The point of this thread is not to degrade any of you, but to get your vote and let me know if you consider yourself to be more Alpha or Beta. Don't take this poll personal and don't bash me with any logical fallacies that you may have! This poll will be private to avoid putting any of you on the spot. Unless you want to share your status on here!
