Welcome to Speedrunner of the Week, a contest tailored for the fastest players in Platform Racing 2! We have the racers, the fast racers, and those who are above them all: Speedrunners. Do you have what it takes to become a Speedrunner?
? How does it work? ? - Each week a new level is given a target time and expert time for contestants to beat. If you complete the target time you get 1 point added onto your total score. If you are super speedy and also manage to complete the expert time you will gain 1 extra point, bringing your total to 2 just from beating the set times.
- You can also gain points if you place in a podium spot against your competitors: if you set the fastest time that week you will gain 3 points, if you come in with the second fastest time you will get 2 points, and if you set the third fastest time you will get 1 extra point. Make note however, you will only be granted these podium points if you have beaten the target time.
- Submissions will close on Sunday 12:00AM EDT. Be sure to convert this time into your own timezone if necessary to avoid any late submissions!
? Rules: ? - Any runs that have been posted after the submission date will not be counted for that week. Please note that Sunday 12:00AM EDT is your deadline and not when I post the "submission's closed" comment on the thread.
- You are allowed to submit as many runs as necessary; you are not just limited to one.
- You are not allowed to use any form of hacks or TAS in your submitted run, doing so will get you banned from participating in any further SOTW events.
- Any form of glitching which wasn't intended by the creator of the level will not be allowed. If you are unsure whether a glitch is allowed or not, feel free to ask me in a thread post or through Discord.
- You are not allowed to involve multiple players in your speedrun. however, you are allowed to have someone spectate you for any assistance purposes such as recording runs.
- In the event of a level with 'Super Flying Cowboy Mode' (SFCM): unless the level uses this mode as a hat remover or if the level specifically requires the use of SFCM, all runs that have this mode enabled must be reset. Any runs that have this mode enabled when it's prohibited will be voided.
- You are only allowed to use up to 195 stat points (Rank 45).
- You are not allowed to use any hats which may affect the time of the speedrun. Hats which you are allowed to use include: Exp Hat, Kong Hat, Party Hat, Jigg Hat, Thief Hat and the Jellyfish Hat.
- You are allowed to get the stat advantages from any of the stat blocks around the level.
- Regarding video submissions, only video submissions which have been posted on this thread will be allowed. I will not be accepting any downloadable files as submissions. Please make sure that in your video you are also showing your in-game stats, as well as a clear video on your ending time.
? Prizes! ? - 10 Points - Crocodile Set (+Epic Upgrades)
- 20 Points - Epic Collar Body
- 30 Points - 5,000,000 Experience
- 40 Points - Bat Set (+Epic Upgrades)
- 50 Points - 10,000,000 Experience
The prize wheel will be rotatable meaning anyone who gets to 50 points is allowed to win the same prizes again!
For any inquiries feel free to message down below or DM me on Discord at Tymbuh#0001.

Before you judge the title of this thread & the person who made it.. all I ask if you can just hear me out, thank you.
Do you guys recall when Jiggmin place a 'Captchas' (not sure if that's how you spell it, so sorry if it's wrong). But when you're able to click the correct picture 'Cat' you get your exp + 250 exp bonus?
1) Bonus Exp: Bring back a version of 'Captchas' but instead of having to click on a picture, at the end of the race, no matter what type of map it's, campaign, atb, today's best, newest/any modes, you'll receive a 250 exp bonus or in a happy hour, it'll be 500 exp.
This idea would be fair for everyone, it isn't gonna break or increase anything since most player are really trying to be in the rank 70's their exp bar is still gonna take forever to reach.
2) Artifact Exp Change: 50,000 exp x[Your Rank but in decimal]
For ex; Colind's rank 79, but if you defeat him in a map his rank +5= 84 pts. So I propose where if I get the artifact on Colind it'll be 50,000 exp x0.84 = (42,000 exp + 50,000 exp = 92,000 exp) that Colind will get when getting the Artifact.
This idea isn't gonna abuse or really gain anything, like I said, my exp bar is currently 227M, 92k/ wk (if the PR2 Staff change it every week, sometime they don't cause they're busy) 92k x4= 368k/month which is equivalent about 12.5 hr of macroing.
3) VoM Hat Bonus Item: Firstly I want to say, if this item is in PR2, you best know this would be the new $ maker for Jiggmin along w/ combining with Happy Hour.
Information on the Item;
Title: Hat Bonus
Logo: Picture of an Exp Hat
Pricing: x1 (50 Jigg Coin) > x2 (100 JC) > x3 (200 JC) > x4 (400 JC) > x5 (800 JC) > etc (you see the pattern)
It's gonna be like Rank Token, for ex;
50 JC + 100 JC + 200 JC + 400 JC + 800 JC = 1,550 Jigg Coin to get x5
Intended use: I want this to be where you can buy it for the entire guild and like rank tokens last for a week. (yeah you're adding x5 or more 'Hat Bonus' but you're paying a lot of $ so a week is a fair deal.
Minimum: x1
Maximum x10
Be nice when posting your opinion, comment below if you got anymore ideas to this thread.

It's that time again, after about 2 months of practice and running on my own, it's time to begin the race that I've been focusing on for some time.
this is the plan for RACE DAY
![[Image: BpRjcFm.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/BpRjcFm.jpg)
cloudy with a chance of rain!
it will be a 5 PM race, so I will be planning my entire day out to the tee
Sunday, February 28th, 2021; 5:15 start.
wake up at 9 am and eat breakfast, which will be oatmeal and a banana, with a cup of coffee.
I got to make sure to drink 20 ounces of water!
lunch is going to be something simple so at 3:00 pm I will eat something small. I plan on eating toast and eggs with a glass of soymilk(allergic to dairy) and 20 more ounces of water!
head to the park at 4 pm and I start my warmups and stretch with my foam roller.
4:30 pm: I should be warmed up and I should go and run 8 minutes out and 8 minutes back, about 2 miles warmup. once done with the warmup run, I will put on running tags and stickers and drink 2 cups of water then huddle (just myself, self positive thoughts and remember back I ran cross country with my team and feel the emotions that are running high in my head. make a 5-minute prayer just like the ol' days)
5:00 pm get in line and get ready for the gun.
stay tuned to find out how the race went in the mud!

Inside the Mind of an Artist
I know a lot of you out there are 3D artists, you're very talented and you're a master at your craft. Or, some of you are trash when it comes to drawing, so you quit to avoid embarrassment. You may have a passion for anime and you love Japanese artwork. You're aware of a few popular anime shows like Naruto, One Piece, Attack on Titan, Dragonball Z, Dragon's Dogma, etc. You see your favorite characters in action and the next thing you know, you end up drawing them because they happen to express the way you feel in reality.
Artists aren't born overnight. Unless you're a savant. In order to become really good at your craft, you end up going to school and taking classes. You create an idea in your head but you just don't know how to express it, you're unaware of the dimensions of your masterpiece, how your character is going to turn out, or anything else. You're uncertain of the unknown, so you begin drawing the first thing that comes to mind.
If you screw it up at first... try again. You think you're good, only to have someone with more experience, give you deconstructive criticism, telling you that your artwork is straight trash and ass! Don't let those people prohibit you from picking up that pencil and trying again, or picking up that mouse and designing again.
You happen to notice a lot of really gifted drawers out there who can draw their asses off. These people end up drawing for cartoon shows, they might be into graphic design, their artwork ends up in 'hall of fame' museums where they're showcased for millions to see, and they're even in your favorite video games. But they're levels to this sort of thing. It could take years to reach such an unfathomable level of being able to draw ANYTHING. Here's my perspective of the whole issue:
Novice- You're inexperienced and you know absolutely nothing about drawing, textures, lines, shapes, values, colors, forms, or space. You're picking up that pencil trying to create something really fascinating, but then you get stuck because you don't understand the dimensions and principles that goes along with your imagination. There are so many things to learn at this stage, and could take you years to become a pro, depending on your consistency and time management. So you end up drawing something really terrible, perhaps in 2D art form like this:
Intermediate- You've got some experience with drawing or painting and you understand texture, lines, shapes, etc. At this point in your craft, you should be able to draw simple things like shapes, basic inanimate objects, simple 3D dimensional boxes, people, and you're aware of how to give your artwork a shadow to make it stand out and look more appealing.
Although you are beginning to understand what direction to take your artwork in, you still have a lot to learn about deeper insights into shapes, form, design, etc. You may even begin to create abstract art. Not to mention you should be able to draw some decent looking sketches. So, your typical work (at this level) should look like this:
Advanced- At this point, you've gained deeper insight into the art world and you're able to draw more improved sketches of famous people and appealing things like jewelry, beautiful vacation places, draw sketches of animals, etc. Also, you are fully aware of how to make your drawings look far more realistic than before. Not only have you mastered creativity and physical dexterity, you've also been able to develop memory towards how to start, where to start, what to add, its dimensions and form, and more.
This is more of college level drawing at this stage in your craft, where you're highly technical and you understand more things like rhythm, balance, hierarchy, proportion, etc. You also know how to draw something in front of another thing, making it look realistic as possible. So, at this level, you're artwork should look like this:
Master- Instead of getting inspiration from the things you see on tv, movies, video games, comic books, or anything else... you're your own inspiration. You're able to draw things off the fly and the time it takes for you to draw something or think about what to draw, is diminished, while your creativity is spiraled. You should know a lot about texture, shape, rhythm, balance, hierarchy, proportion, form, emphasis, movement, color, contrast, unity, pattern, value, space, etc.
The list goes on and on. You may think you're a boss at drawing, painting, sketching, graphic design, or anything else. But you still have a lot to learn because the minute you stop learning, you fall behind and spin in circles when introduced to new material. You're beyond college level, but you still have a few more things to learn. But hey, in the mean time, your work should look like this:
BOSS- Now that you have a broad understanding of what makes an extravagant, exquisite, and elegant art design, let's step outside your comfort zone and stretch your imaginations, giving you something that you cannot even begin to process in the physical realm. You've gotten it from the title... 4D Artwork Dimension. I like to define this as 'The Artwork coming to you'. In order to understand this, you must understand how optical illusions work, and how to differentiate between regular drawings versus optical illusion drawings.
At this level, you should be going above and beyond, drawing more technical things, instead of limiting yourself to just regular, creative 3D artwork. The ability to be able to make others think that the drawing looks like it's coming to life, adding more technical variations to your 3D artwork, separates you from all the other 3D artists out there, who may have not reached this level, yet.
If you can draw at this level, you've proven yourself to be a GOD in the art world, and more significantly, you nearly know everything about everything with art, graphic design, painting, sculptures, etc. I'd say in the 90-99 percentile. At this level, you begin to draw things like this:
Ultimately, you get the picture by now, and hopefully you've learned something today. On the other hand, I would like to know what level you're on when it comes to drawing, graphic design, creating sculptures, painting, etc. Do you enjoy what you do, how long have you done it, and have you gotten frustrated attempting to move to a higher level of artwork? Or maybe you're just one of those people who like to read threads but don't comment or vote... That's fine too! Input is welcome and so is voting! Feel free to express your comments below, or even if you want to share any type of personal artwork of any kind, then you're more than welcome!

I was thinking... wouldn't it be cool if 1 or 2 Guest accounts carry parts and hats that's been obtained in the recent past, maybe the Guest could refresh it's parts as often as once per week or once per month just to make it interesting. This would be pretty sick imo. Let me know your thoughts.
