Well, welcome back, even though I just posted on your "return" thread. 
In regards to this game being dead, of course it's not going to be the exact same as it was back in 2009. That was 12 years ago. For this game being THAT old, I'd say we're still going pretty strong.
I do think it would be possible to still be a part of Pr2 even if you don't macro. I understand that that's what you loved back then, but maybe come join us for a chat sometime and even just a few "fun" races.
I think there's more to PR2 than macroing constantly.
